1. Who is responsible for your data?

This website is operated by OneUpMotion ("I", "me" or "my"). I am responsible for deciding how personal data is used on this website.

2. What personal data may be processed?

Depending on how you use this website, I may process:

  • technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information and server log data;
  • contact information and the contents of a message if you choose to contact me;
  • your cookie and consent choices; and
  • anonymous category and tag interests used for Media recommendations, but only when you allow preference cookies.

3. Why is this data used?

Data is used to operate, secure and improve the website, respond to messages, remember your cookie choices and provide optional recommendations when you have given permission. The legal basis depends on the situation: operating and securing the website is based on legitimate interests or necessity to provide the requested service; responding to a message is based on your request or legitimate interests; optional preference and analytics processing is based on your consent. Any third-party analytics service must be configured to honour that consent choice.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses a small number of cookies for consent management and, where enabled, Media recommendations. The consent manager only creates the optional recommendation cookie after you allow Preferences. Any third-party optional service must also be configured to honour your choice. The separate Cookie Policy lists the known cookies, their purposes, providers and retention periods.

5. Who receives personal data?

Personal data may be accessible to the hosting provider and technical service providers who help operate, secure or maintain the website. If you contact me, your message may also be handled by the email provider used for this website. These parties may only process data for the relevant service or on my instructions. External websites and embedded services have their own privacy policies.

6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technical or optional services may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, the relevant provider must use a legally recognised transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguards. Only services actually enabled on this website should be listed in the Cookie Policy.

7. How long is data retained?

Technical logs are retained by the hosting provider for the period needed for security, troubleshooting and legal obligations. Messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and keep a reliable record. Consent and recommendation cookies are normally retained for up to 180 days. Data is deleted earlier where it is no longer needed, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8. How is data protected?

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. To exercise a right, contact me using the address above. You may be asked to provide enough information to verify your identity.

10. Complaints

If you believe your data has not been handled correctly, please contact me first so I can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens): autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

11. Automated decisions and profiling

This website does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. If you allow preference cookies, the Media library may use the categories and tags you view to order recommendations more personally. This does not create a legal or significant automated decision about you.

This policy may be updated when the website, services or applicable requirements change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
